NSW Health, Hunter Pathology, a complete office refurbishment to Level 5 at 45 Watt & King Streets Newcastle, was completed in 2 stages and delivered in 9 weeks. Stages 1 and 1A were completed in conjunction with each other, as one stage, in 5 weeks. The works included site establishment, loading floor and carpet installation, building works, joinery/ furniture, electrical/communications/security, mechanical services, fire services, hydraulic works, final clean and staff relocation. Stage 1 and 1A were done together to ensure maximisation of programme for delivery. Stage 2 was completed in 4 weeks and included establishment, loading floor and carpet installation, building works, joinery/furniture, electrical/communications, mechanical services, fire services, hydraulic works, final clean, staff relocation and handover. The project had its challenges and the client was very particular. CIP worked to educate the client and complete the works on programme. The client was very pleased with the outcome at Handover.
